San Agustín

Sant Agustí des Vedrà is a small town in the west of the Spanish island of Ibiza. The town belongs to the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia and is located on the signposted PM803 road. The village is 11.5 miles northwest of Ibiza town and 9 miles from Ibiza airport.

San Agustín, nestled halfway between San Antonio and San José along a quiet stretch of the main road, stands as a charming and well-preserved village, offering a genuine slice of authentic Ibiza. Tucked away with modest signage, it may be easily missed, but once discovered, its postcard-worthy charm is undeniable.

As you approach, two car parks adjacent to the church provide convenient stops for exploration. The village boasts notable structures like the stone tower, parish house, and the church, inaugurated and blessed in 1806. Though the church's interior may seem unadorned compared to others on the island, its sturdy walls and straightforward cubic design epitomize genuine Ibicenco architecture. From the church square, a breathtaking panoramic view unfolds, showcasing the impressive San José hills and the expansive countryside enveloping the village.
