Jesús is a population center and parish in the Balearic Islands, belonging to the municipality of Santa Eulalia del Río, a town from which it is located 10 km.
Jesús is a small town, very close to the city of Eivissa and Talamanca beach, although belonging to the municipality of Santa Eulària. Today it represents a residential area of the city, with multiple luxury homes in the nearby mountains, with views of the bays of Talamanca and Eivissa, and a small urban center, with various restaurants, shops and services.
Although it is a small town, its proximity to the capital and the fact that many foreigners residing on the island own homes in the area mean that Jesús maintains a cosmopolitan atmosphere all year round and its terraces always seem lively. The center of the town is occupied by the church, erected in the 15th century, although rebuilt in the 16th. The Franciscan friars and later the Dominicans settled there. It houses a Gothic altarpiece attributed to the Valencian artists Rodrigo de Osona and his son Francisco, which according to experts constitutes the most important piece of the artistic heritage of all the Pitiusan churches. Some experts consider the face of the Virgin to be one of the most beautiful in medieval iconography in Spain.
